Several vessels will be employed to provide surface support during the CSS Alabama Project 2000 diving operations. The CNP dive boat Little Pockets and the American research vessel Robo will be used to support the French volunteers and American archaeologists. The French Navy vessel Vulcan will support the French Navy divers and provide the heavy lift capability necessary to recover large artifacts. All vessels will be equipped with inflatable boats to deploy, support decompression and recover divers.
